Privacy Policy

By using Bridal Toolbox, you consent to the collection and use of your personal and financial information. The purpose of this policy is to outline to you how we collect, store, and use the information you provide us with.

Information We Collect

In order for you to use Bridal Toolbox, it is necessary for us to store some information about you. This personal information includes but is not limited to your name, address, email, phone number and any other information which may identify you. Because of the nature of our service, we also collect and store information relating to your wedding - your guests' details, the date and place of your wedding and reception, budgeting, gift registry and planning details. If you use any of our paid services, we also collect your financial information, including your credit card details.

Cookies

Almost all websites use cookies to track a visitor's progress through the site and to tailor their services to the visitor's needs. At Bridal Toolbox we use cookies to allow you to automatically log in when you arrive at your site, to keep track of preferences you have selected, and to identify you to your visitor counter so you don't get counted every time you visit. Cookies are kept on your computer, not ours, and you are free to delete them whenever you wish. There is no way we or anyone else can use a cookie to gain access to files or information stored on your computer.

IP Addresses

For statistical purposes we record information about your computer and connection when you visit our website. This includes your IP address, which helps us count visitors and see which country they are from, information about your operating system and browser, and the website you were on when you clicked through to Bridal Toolbox. These details are only used for number-crunching and cannot identify you as an individual. We reserve the right to share this aggregated data with third parties for statistical analysis.

Use Of Your Information

The information you provide to Bridal Toolbox is stored in our databases. This allows us to provide you with a personal user experience at our site, and to display content according to your preferences, and allows you to communicate details about your wedding to your family and friends. We also use your contact details to send you email updates, newsletters, special offers and promotional materials we think may interest you. You are free to unsubscribe from such communication at any time, and a link enabling you to do so will be contained in each newsletter we send. We will also use your contact details if it is necessary to contact you at any other time. We will never initiate contact with any of your guests or anyone else whose details you include as part of your personal wedding website.

We do not share any of your personal information with anyone, except that it may be required by law, to facilitate court proceedings, enforce our Terms of Use, or protect the rights or property of Bridal Toolbox, our users, or others.

Email addresses supplied via the 'tell a friend' page on our website are not stored at all. While it's tempting for us to want to use them for follow-up purposes, we also want you to be able to do a good deed for your friends without worrying about the repercussions. Conversely, you may not use this feature or any other email-forwarding feature we offer to send spam or any other content that would violate our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use.

Access To Your Information

You are free to view and update your personal information at any time simply by logging in to your Bridal Toolbox website and following the appropriate links. Our databases are backed-up regularly and as such some of your old information is likely to remain in our archives.

Your Friends And Family

Due to the nature of Bridal Toolbox it is likely you will want to publish some personal wedding details on your website. Any information you upload to your website, other than that required by our registration system, is entirely your responsibility. Please be cautious about displaying other people's photos and personal information and always check with them first.

To help keep your data private, we actively discourage the search engines from listing your website, however ultimately this choice is up to them. We also require a minimum number of characters to be entered on our 'find a site' page to discourage people from accessing the sites of users they don't know.

Financial Security

When processing credit card information, we use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption so your information cannot be viewed in transit. Unfortunately, no form of data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure. While we do our best to protect such information, we cannot ensure the total security of any information you transmit to us. As such, any information is transmitted at your own risk. Your credit card information is only kept by us for the duration of the transaction, and is not stored in our database.

Control Of Your Password

You are responsible for all actions taken with your login ID, email address and password. As such we do not recommend that you share your Bridal Toolbox password with anyone else, or make it easy for people to guess. If you are using a public computer or one that is shared with other people, you should not use the 'Remember me' option when you login to your Bridal Toolbox account. If you believe that someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, you must inform us immediately of the problem so we can take steps to prevent further damage.

If you have any questions or encounter any problems while using the site, please use the contact page to get in touch with us.
